How to manage a class waitlist without the admin

A manual waitlist means messaging people every time someone cancels, often at 6 a.m. An automatic one does it for you.

How an automatic waitlist works

  1. A full class shows "Join the waitlist" instead of a time.
  2. When someone cancels, the first person waiting is emailed a link.
  3. They have 2 hours to claim the spot. If they do not, it goes to the next person.

Keep it fair

  • First come, first offered.
  • One person cannot hold several places on the same list.
  • Offers expire, so a spot is never stuck with someone who missed the email.
